Spaghetti Sauce

1/2 t red pepper flakes
1/2 pepper
1 t salt
1 can (12 oz) tomato paste
1 can (29 oz) tomato sauce
2 cans (14 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
6 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups chopped mushrooms
3 medium onion, diced
2 lbs Italian sausage or ground beef (some combination of the two)
2 T dried basil
1 T dried oregano
1 T sugar
